How to convert and add custom fonts to Elementor Pro

Need to convert your font for Elementor? FontReady’s free Elementor font converter prepares your files and publishes them to your connected WordPress website. You need an active Elementor Pro installation and the free FontReady plugin. No FontReady account is required.

Before you upload

Keep the original font and confirm that its licence permits conversion and web embedding. Use the actual family, weight and style supplied by the font; a regular font file cannot supply a genuine bold or italic design.

Install FontReady from the WordPress plugin directory and activate it alongside Elementor Pro. Sign in as a WordPress administrator and use your website’s HTTPS address.

Convert and publish with the free Elementor font converter

  1. Open Font to Elementor Pro and select one TTF, OTF, WOFF or WOFF2 file, up to 5 MiB.
  2. FontReady starts conversion automatically. Keep the page open and check for any unsupported-output or conversion message.
  3. Enter your WordPress site address, confirm the required plugins are active and approve the connection in WordPress as an administrator.
  4. Return to FontReady and check the publishing result. On the connected website, find the family in Elementor Custom Fonts, then apply it to text in the editor.
  5. For another weight, upload the matching source file and review the family and weight grouping in Elementor. Test the published page as well as the editor.

What the free workflow includes

The publishing journey prepares its predefined output set and transfers it after website approval. Further uploads can publish to the connected site in the same tab. The main converter is a separate route when you want to choose formats and download a CSS kit instead.

FontReady conversion does not require a FontReady account. Elementor Pro is a separately purchased product; a free FontReady plugin does not unlock Elementor Pro features.

Static weights and variable fonts

Use a separate source file for each static weight and style. For a variable font, decide whether to keep its axes or export a particular static instance. The free variable-to-static tool can pin the available axes; it does not create a variable font from unrelated static files.

For Elementor’s own variable-font upload route, follow its current documentation. Do not assume a static publishing workflow will preserve adjustable axes.

Questions & answers

Can I convert OTF fonts for Elementor for free?

Yes. Select a supported OTF in FontReady’s free Elementor converter. Check any conversion messages, then approve publishing to your website. Direct publishing requires active Elementor Pro and FontReady plugins.

Does this work with Elementor Free?

FontReady’s direct publishing integration targets Elementor Pro Custom Fonts. It does not unlock that feature in Elementor Free. You can download a free CSS kit separately and use an appropriate manual installation route.

Do I need every legacy font format for a modern website?

No. The connector’s fixed publishing set is its current implementation, not a requirement that modern websites use every legacy format. Use the main converter when you want to choose a WOFF2 webfont kit.
